hey.. h-hey guise
there are fictionkin
just when you thought the transethnic/ transabled/ otherkin shit was covered
there are fictionkin
who associate their experiences
or compare them
to those of the GSM/ LGBT/ queer community
i-i just
no
yeeeeep and i’m massively uncomfortable with enabling them in any way except for like, ignoring them. i’ve already all too often heard “they/their identities aren’t harming anyone” applied to them and frankly, i call bullshit. transethnic, transabled, otherkin/fictive/etc - those are like the most special snowflake ways of conveniently ducking out of responsibility for the fact that these identities are problematic and illogical as all hell in the first place, and if you try to call them out at all, they feel they can play it like they’re the most oppressed people ever. and dear fuck, yes, i have seen way too many comparisons to gsm/queer identities. that line of thinking and that co-opting does harm people. so i won’t advocate for harassing anyone, but let’s stop pretending that these specific identities are in no way harmful and get used in harmful manners.
